“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”—Sarah Jessica Parker | sex and the city (via kari-shma)
This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen of Margate, New Jersey, grew up believing that he’d never be truly happy until he met “the one.” This belief stemmed from early exposure to sad British pop music and a total misreading of the movie “The Graduate.” The girl, Summer Finn of Shinicock, Michigan, did not share this belief. Since the disintegration of her parent’s marriage, she’d only loved two things. The first was her long, dark hair. The second was how she easily she could cut it off and feel nothing. Tom meets Summer on January 8th. He knows, almost immediately, that she’s the one he’s been searching for. This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront: this is not a love story.
“We can spend our lives letting the world tell us who we are. Sane or insane. Saints or sex addicts. Heroes or victims. Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our past decide our future. Or we can decide for ourselves. And maybe it’s our job to invent something better.”—Choke, by Chuck Palahniuk (via allthis-beauty) (via quote-book)
“The truth is I love being alive. And I love feeling free. So if I can’t have those things then I feel like a caged animal and I’d rather not be in a cage. I’d rather be dead. And it’s real simple. And I think it’s not that uncommon.”—Angelina Jolie
“I’m extremely honest, and I pride myself on it. I don’t try to be shocking. I’m playful, and I know when something I’m saying is maybe shocking, but it’s just the truth, I never wanted to be scary to people or upsetting to people. I simply want to live the way I need to live.”—Angelina Jolie (via jessicachu)
